The HiProSUN process has been awarded the “Solar Impulse Efficient Solution” label, recognising high standards of profitability and environmental sustainability.
To obtain the label, the patented HiProSUN process was evaluated by a panel of independent experts based on a structured assessment covering five criteria across the three core dimensions of technical feasibility, environmental compatibility, and economic viability.
AAll solutions awarded with the label are included in the #1000solutions portfolio. This initiative, presented by Bertrand Piccard, President of the Solar Impulse Foundation, is addressed to decision-makers from business and public institutions.
Its objective is to encourage the adoption of more ambitious environmental targets and to accelerate the large-scale implementation of clean and profitable solutions.
The “Solar Impulse Efficient Solution” label is among the first international labels explicitly combining positive environmental impact with financial performance.
The Solar Impulse Foundation aims to accelerate the deployment of clean, economically viable solutions worldwide.
In addition, the foundation supports decision-makers in companies and governments in achieving environmental objectives and advancing the energy and sustainability policies required to bring such solutions to market.
The initiative builds on the experience and visibility gained through the first successful solar-powered round-the-world flight.
